Whittet Higgins NL-26 Locknut
The Whittet-Higgins NL is a left-handed bearing locknut machined from carbon steel to the ANSI/ABMA 8.2-1999 specification. Its left-hand thread keeps clockwise-rotating assemblies from backing off under vibration, shock, and torque, while it is matched with W series lockwashers to secure, lock, and retain bearings and power transmission components on the shaft.
Numerous locking positions deliver accurate angular positioning, and the nut installs on soft or hardened shafts with no special tools required. Rated to a maximum operating temperature of 300°F, it is manufactured in the USA and RoHS compliant.
