Hosta 'Telegraham'

[M] This golden hybrid from Doug Beilstein has a story to tell, if you look closely. Resulting from a cross of 'Delta Dawn' x 'Brutus', 'Telegraham' has yellow, somewhat wavy leaves with intense, exaggerated texturing. The center vein is deeply impressed, creating a trench from the center of the leaf to the base where the petiole begins. Such wild puckers and creases in the leaf create a lot of character and unruliness. In Doug's Ohio garden, this plant stand sun for 3/4 of the day without burning! Hosta 'Telegraham' forms a dense, somewhat upright clump about 20" tall and 36" wide that blooms in mid-summer with compact scapes of fertile, light lavender flowers.
