Gemetrix has launched the DOVE, an innovative device engineered to identify lab-grown diamonds with precision and ease. The DOVE is based on deep UV light, allowing for simpler analysis of diamonds without the need for comparisons with longwave (LW) UV, except in occasional instances. It examines key optical properties such as fluorescence colour and phosphorescence, which can be easily viewed using a smartphone camera.
A specially designed tray accommodates rings, pendants, and other jewellery items within a compact 45 x 45 mm viewing area. Offering a unique combination of portability, versatility, and affordability, the DOVE is currently one of the most practical deep UV detection systems available.
