Elstead Philadelphia Single Medium Chain Lantern - Old Bronze

The lantern head, hung instead of posted

This is the same ornate old bronze lantern from the Philadelphia range, but built to hang on a chain rather than sit on top of a post. The rounded body has the same scrolled brackets and finial detailing underneath, with amber toned, slightly textured glass panels that catch the light nicely once the lamp is on.

How it works

A single lamp sits inside, visible through the glass, and the chain lets you set the drop anywhere between 54cm and 154cm, so it can sit close under a low porch roof or hang further down over a bigger entrance.

Where it works best

It suits a porch, covered entrance or gate canopy, somewhere with something to hang it from overhead. The shape and finish are traditional enough to sit comfortably on an older house, but it works just as well marking a garden gateway.
