Here is a great vinatge No. 323 "Legitimus" machete manufactured by Collins and Company out of Hartford and Collinsville Connecticut, USA. This machete includes the original canvas sheath and was likely military issue. This machete features the original paper label from Collins & Co., which is in surprisingly good condition. The paper label features Spanish writing, so this machete may have come from a Spanish-speaking market. The machete is in very good condition and has an extremely sharp edge. Please use caution when handling this item. The early plastic handle is in good condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. The blade measures 18" long and the handle measures 5" long, for a total length of 23".
