RumourX is the current version of Chord's long-running Rumour speaker cable, first launched in 1996 as one of the smallest-gauge cables on the market. It uses a twisted-pair conductor design that Chord refined over years of development to lower the system noise floor, now insulated with XLPE rather than the PTFE used on earlier Rumour cables, which testing showed to be a clear step up.
RumourX has picked up What Hi-Fi? Best Buy and Product of the Year awards across multiple years. It's supplied unterminated, priced per metre, with Ohmic or banana plug termination available in-store.
