Totally opaque dark red black core with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of spicy dark plum and liquorice which are overlaid by smoked meats and subtle vanillin cedar with earthy blackpepper end notes. Medium bodied with a generous velvety feel the palate possesses rich blackberry and liquorice flavours followed by vanillin cedar, some meatiness and pepper. Plush, silky smooth tannins show great polish. Long spicy blackberry, liquorice, vanillin cedar, dried meats and blackpepper aftertaste.

Peppery and deep, enjoy this wine with flavorful spicy foods from steak, to mediterranean and even latin cuisines. This wine can overpower more subtle dishes, so be cautions to avoid lighter proteins and unspiced seafood.
