It would have originally sat atop a doorway and depicts tigers and elephants on either side of a large lotus flower motif. \u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003e \u003c\/p\u003e \u003cp\u003eIt is constructed from jackfruit wood (\u003cem\u003eArtocarpus heterophyllus\u003c\/em\u003e) and carved in a tribal fashion. Jackfruit wood is often used for building construction in South India as is comparable in quality to teak wood.
